YouTube-Monetization_-Do-you-Meet-These-Six-Requirements

We know you’re busy creators, and we also know that you want to make money from YouTube. Let’s cut to the chase. These are the six requirements for joining the YouTube Partner Program (YPP) and getting your channel monetized:

#1 A Minimum of 1,000 YouTube Subscribers

To start earning money directly from YouTube, channels must have at least 1,000 subscribers to be able to qualify.

#2 At Least 4,000 hours of YouTube Watch Time

If you want to start earning ad revenue, you’ll also need 4,000 hours of YouTube watch time, along with those subscribers. This time must have been generated in the last 12 months.

This is an attainable goal if you consistently publish engaging content and build your subscriber base. If you need some inspiration or encouragement, our 6 Ways to Generate 4,000 Hours of YouTube Watch Time FASTER! will help you meet that goal.

#3 Live Where the YouTube Partner Program is Available to Creators

The YPP has been rolled out in a considerable number of countries, but not all. Check if you reside in one of the countries eligible for YouTube monetization.

#4 Have No Active Community Guidelines Strikes on Your Channel

YouTube isn’t here to play when it comes to its Community Guidelines. The rules apply to every channel, from the biggest to the smallest. If you follow the rules, you’re good.

#5 Have a Linked AdSense Account

YouTube won’t be able to pay you unless you link your AdSense account to your YouTube channel.

#6  Have Two-Factor Authentication Enabled

This adds an additional layer of security that makes it really difficult for somebody to take over your account. It is definitely one of the most important things you can do to keep your channel from getting hacked.

There it is, that’s the info. Jump to Google for the official details on YouTube monetization, and stay tuned to TubeBuddy as we bring you all the strategies and tips needed to help you grow your YouTube channel.
