A Siberian Husky life expert, Jessica shows you just how wonderful life can, and should, be with man’s best friend.
We had a chance to talk to Jessica and learn a bit more about her life as a creator.
Tell us a bit more about your channel:
Our mission here at Gone to the Snow Dogs is to show you what life with your dogs can and should be like! From Traveling with your Dogs, Camping with your Dogs, Making DIY Dog Treats, Dog Training Tips and advice, and other dog adventures and Dog videos, we and to help you share a better life with your dog! Call it a Pet Channel, Dog Vlog, or Dog Vloggers, whatever you want!
Why did you become a creator?
I was inspired back in 2009, by fellow creators who I watched all the time. They made a video and asked people to use their song to show their pets, and we did, and the response was amazing. It kick started me into creating Gone to the Snow Dogs, and our passion and love for our dogs have kept us going for just over 11 years!
Where do you get inspiration for your videos?
Mostly from my own Siberian Huskies. Just living life with them! They are what drives everything my husband and I do! Dogs live short lives, and we want to do everything we can to give them the best life possible while we can. So that inspiration leads to going on adventures, and doing things with them, to give them a good life, and also make fun content!
Who are some of your favorite YouTube creators?
Philip Defranco, Bright Sun Films, Mr Beast, Mark Rober, and of course my amazing friend K’eyush The Stunt Dog
What one piece advice would you give to your fellow creators?
Take your passion and turn it into creation. Creating content based on something you are passionate about, makes creation much easier. And don’t try to be like everyone else. Figure out what it is that you can offer people, that no one else does. And if someone else is doing it, figure out how to package it better and put it out there. Don’t be afraid to start. You never know where the road will take you! I started as a hobby, and now this is our full time gig!
